- Lecturer – Level B: AUD $123,620 to $145,730 per annum + 17% superannuation
- Senior Lecturer – Level C: AUD $150,148 to $172,261 per annum + 17% superannuation
Roles: Multiple roles – 2-years fixed term, 2-year convertible tenure track or continuing

Join the School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at UNSW’s Faculty of Engineering as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. CSE is expanding and recruiting new academic staff for 2024 and 2025. We seek highly motivated Computer Science Academics for independent research and excellent teaching roles.

Accountabilities:
Level B – Lecturer:
- Develop and deliver a well-defined teaching philosophy.
- Conduct classes, assess student learning, and support students in postgraduate and undergraduate courses.
- Design learning activities and provide feedback.
- Initiate experimental teaching approaches with senior academics’ support.
- Engage in individual and collaborative research.
- Mentor and guide students and colleagues.
- Contribute to competitive funding applications.
- Align with UNSW Values in Action and the UNSW Code of Conduct.
Level C – Senior Lecturer:
- Apply a reflective teaching practice that inspires student learning.
- Design and deliver courses and programs using diverse pedagogical approaches.
- Lead curriculum development and improvement.
- Engage in independent, impactful research.
- Attract national recognition and research funding.
- Mentor high-caliber students and supervise HDRs.
- Collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
Skills and Experience:
Level B:
- PhD in a related discipline or relevant work experience.
- Commitment to staying current with discipline knowledge.
- Experience in teaching design, development, and delivery.
- Use of educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Proven research track record with high-quality outcomes.
Level C:
- PhD in a related discipline or relevant work experience.
- Commitment to staying current with discipline knowledge.
- Experience in teaching design using various pedagogical approaches.
- Proven success in curriculum development and improvement.
- Established research track record with national recognition.
- Ability to attract research funding and supervise high-caliber students.
