The Government of Pakistan has unveiled an ambitious plan to establish more than 250 E Rozgar centers across the nation, in partnership with provincial governments and private organizations. These centers, strategically located in every district, are aimed at providing digital opportunities for talented young individuals, particularly in underrepresented and smaller urban areas. Punjab will lead with 149 centers, followed by Sindh with 51, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 28.
This expansion is a continuation of a successful initiative originally launched by Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Punjab. The program has already enabled millions by providing access to affordable IT workspaces. The new centers are expected to further empower the youth, facilitating their active participation in the rapidly growing IT sector. This initiative will enable them to harness digital opportunities that can significantly advance their careers and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
